West Ham boss David Moyes has suffered an early blow with Javier Hernandez breaking down in acton with Mexico.
The 29-year-old striker picked up a hamstring injury while winning a penalty during his 100th appearance for Mexico against Belgium on Friday.
He will be checked by West Ham medical staff this week before declaring whether he is fit for Moyes’s first game against Watford next Sunday.
Chicharito has scored four of West Ham’s 11 goals this season, despite displaying inconsistent form.
The Mexican played at Manchester United under Moyes in the Scot’s one season in charge.
