Two women and a man arrested after suspected Croxteth stabbing

Three people have been arrested after a man was found with suspected stab wounds in Croxteth .

The suspects – two women and a man – are each set to be questioned on suspicion of Section 18 wounding after the incident.

The victim suffered serious injuries but is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Dymoke Road at around 9pm after a report a man had been found injured.

On arrival they found the man, who was in his 40s, with suspected stab wounds to his side.

A Merseyside Police spokesman confirmed: “A 29-year-old woman from Aintree and a 20-year-old man and 46-year-old woman, both from Croxteth, were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and have been taken to police stations for questioning by detectives.

“Officers will be carrying out forensic and witness enquiries at the scene, and to provide reassurance to the community.”
