Travel advice ahead of Wales v Australia

A full city centre road closure will be in place for the first of Wales’ Autumn Internationals against Australia at the Principality Stadium.

With a crowd of over 70,000 expected, the authorities are advising all ticket holders to plan their travel in advance and arrive in Cardiff in ample time.

The road closure will be in place from 1.45pm until 8.15pm. Cardiff Council will re-open the roads when it is safe to do so after the event.

The gates to the stadium will be open earlier than usual at 2.15pm. Those attending the match are advised that there will be security checks in operation, so authorities are advising people to leave extra time to get into the stadium.
The following roads will be closed:

Network Rail and Great Western Railway are advising customers that due to engineering work there are no trains travelling through or calling at Bristol Parkway on Saturday. People are advised to use Filton Abbey Wood station if they are travelling to the game from the Bristol area.

Extra trains will be running before and after the match, with a post-match queueing system in place at both Cardiff Central and Queen Street stations.
