“The Blink fitness tracker is compatible with both Android and iOS-powered devices”
Earlier this year, TIMEX launched the IQ+ Move (review) analogue watch with fitness tracking features and a one-year battery life in India. Today, the company has launched a fitness tracker in the country called the TIMEX Blink. The brand has collaborated with the Indian consumer technology start-up BLINK to manufacture the TIMEX Blink.
The TIMEX Blink fitness tracker features a removable core and easily interchangeable straps, which are available in metal, leather and silicone. The wearable features all-day activity tracking for steps, distance, calories and sleep. The device is capable of delivering up to 10 days of battery life and 12 days of standby time. The accessory is equipped with Bluetooth to pair with compatible smartphones. The device also comes with a built-in SOS feature.
As for the other specs, the TIMEX Blink fitness tracker offers a 0.9-inch OLED display, and is powered by a Nordic nRF52832 processor. The accessory comes with a 6-axis motion sensor, a 90mAh battery and a micro-USB 3.0 port for charging. The wearable comes bundled with a free additional strap. It is compatible with devices running both Android and iOS.
Anupam Mathur, Head – Sales and Marketing, Timex Group India Limited said, “At TIMEX our focus has always been to use innovative technologies and offer timepieces that meet the demands of our consumers. TIMEX BLINK is yet another effort in that direction. We generally give up our style quotient when we are on the go as it is tough to manage both style and fitness together in today’s busy schedules. TIMEX believes that its consumers do not have to give up on their style for functionality or vice versa. The watch is for the modern men and women who demand a fit and active lifestyle as well as are always connected on the go”.
The TIMEX Blink with a leather strap has been priced at Rs 4,495. The variant with a more premium stainless steel strap is being offered for Rs 4,995. The device will be available via TIMEX authorised stores across the country starting today.
