EA is getting roasted by every corner of the gaming industry and they only have themselves to blame for making profit-driven decisions on Star Wars Battlefront 2 without sparing any thoughts for the players.
Just a couple of days after Battlefront 2 got released, an early adopter of the game revealed that it takes about 40 hours for him to grind and unlock the first hero and this is ridiculously long. It created an angry mob of gamers and EA responded by slashing the credits needed for unlocks by 75%.
Just when we thought this is going to make things better, we learned that the grinding revenues have also been reduced drastically. The worst part about it is that 10 hours of grinding for an unlock is still crazy high because it would mean requiring about 4000 gameplay hours to upgrade all star cards from Level 3 to Level 4.
The only way out of this is to pay for the unlocks with real money and we can say that this is probably what EA wants. The fact that the firm input a crazy grinding setup on Battlefront 2 exposed their greed for profits and this is not looking good on EA.
