Semenya, Manyonga win big at SA Sports Awards

JOHANNESBURG – Caster Semenya and Luvyo Manyonga won big at the SA Sports Awards on Sunday Evening.

Three-time 800m world champion Semenya was named Sportswoman of the Year, as well as the People’s Choice Sports Star of the Year, which is voted for by sports fans.

 

 

Manyonga who has overcome a life of addiction, won the Sportsman of the Year award. The long jump champion was also crowned Sports Star of the Year.

eNCA’s OG Molefe scooped the Journalist of the Year award.

 

 

Meanwhile, Ilse Hayes was again named Sportswoman of the Year with a disability and Dyan Buis earned the Sportsman of the Year with a disability.
