ZAGGmate – The Road Warriors New First Mate

I love the iPad as a traveling computer. It’s hands down better better than a netbook. You can check email, entertain yourself, give a killer presentation and even more, you don’t have to take it out of your bag at security in the airport.

One of the few gripes I’ve had with the iPad is the lack of easy & fast typing for replying to emails. Typing on the iPad’s virtual keyboard is, well… more like a hunt and peck method.

Enter ZAGGmate. The ZAGGmate lives true to its name… a perfect mate to your iPad. In every shape, way, and form. The Good

The ZAGGmate is thin, sleek, and sturdy. We really like that the ZAGGmate eliminates having to carry a Bluetooth keyboard and a stand for keeping your iPad upright. The keys are a very usable size and it is very well built. We also really like that this is not just an iPad only device. The Galaxy S Tab fits on it as well

The Bad & The Ugly

To be honest there isn’t a whole lot of Bad and Ugly with the ZAGGmate. One thing we had a problem with was how difficult it was to get unpackaged, but ZAGG emailed us and stated that they have already corrected the issue (click here to see ZAGGs response to our unboxing issue).

However, one thing we would like see (For a $99 price point) is a free Invisible Shield to cover the back of the iPad since it is exposed while in the ZAGGmate. This would be an ultimate deal sealer.

Conclusion & Rating – 9/10

If you are an iPad super user and you like the feel of a physical keyboard… Buy it. Buy it now. You won’t regret it. I do have one caveat though…. buy an Invisible Shield for the back of your iPad so it doesn’t get scratched.
