“The OPPO F3 Plus flaunts a 6-inch FHD display and dual 16MP and 8MP selfie cameras”
Earlier this year, the Chinese handset maker, OPPO launched its selfie-centric F3 Plus (review) in India for Rs 30,990. The device came with 4GB RAM and flaunted a powerful dual camera module on the front. Now, the handset maker has gone ahead and launched the 6GB RAM variant of the smartphone in the country.
The only difference in both devices is the amount of RAM onboard, while rest of the specifications remain the same. For the uninitiated, the OPPO F3 Plus is equipped with a 6-inch full HD display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection against minor scratches and nicks. The performance of the device is driven by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC, mated to 6GB RAM as mentioned above. On the software side of things, the device runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
On to the imaging front, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel snapper at the rear with an IMX398 sensor with Dual Pixel autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. The highlight of the handset is the 16MP shooter accompanied by an 8MP snapper on the front, where the latter is a 120-degree wide angle lens. There is 64GB of storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The device ships with a 4,000mAh battery, which comes with support for the proprietary VOOC fast charging technology from the brand.
The handset maker has already listed the device on Flipkart and it’s available in two hues – Black and Gold. Unlike the regular variant, the new 6GB version has been priced at Rs 22,990 and will be up for grabs starting November 16th. It remains to be seen whether the brand will slash the price of the regular variant further. The handset received a price cut of Rs 3,000 a few months ago, and has been retailing for Rs 27,990 through offline channels since June.
