Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise has announced his latest move – and it’s one where his famed left boot won’t come in particularly useful.
Riise ended his playing days in June last year following a lengthy career that included a seven-year stay at Anfield.
The 37-year-old has since turned out for both Liverpool Legends and the Masters team and was part of the team that won the Battle of the Masters in Singapore last week.
But after more than 12 months out of the professional game, Riise has returned.
“I’m proud to announce I’m now a football agent,” he said on Twitter.
“I’ve been on both sides of the table and I look forward to help players fulfil their potential and give them guidance throughout their career.
“A massive thank you to my partners for this opportunity.”
Riise won the Champions League, the FA Cup, two League Cups and two UEFA Super Cups while at Anfield.
