England U21 coach Aidy Boothroyd says Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke is ready for a senior call.
Solanke’s goal after 16 minutes put England in charge of a difficult Euro 2019 qualifier in Ukraine and set them on the way to a 2-0 win that means they have taken 13 points from a possible 15 to sit top of Group 4.
Boothroyd said: “I thought Dom was excellent. He is not getting as many minutes (for Liverpool) as he or we would like at the moment.
“But for us he is always a player who looks like scoring. He showed what he is all about. He caused them a lot of problems. He only came off because he was running out of steam.”
