Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery of a woman in her 70s in Dublin yesterday.
The incident occurred at a bus stop on Newgrove Avenue, Sandymount, shortly before 7pm last night.
The woman was approached by a man, believed to be in his early 20s, who, following a struggle to get her handbag, made off with nothing.
The woman managed to hold on to her bag but sustained a number of injuries and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment.
Her injuries are not life threatening.
