While police declined revealing the extent of alleged abuse or say whether it happened on or off school grounds, Marx’s arrest record revealed the woman allegedly having oral sex with a 17 year old student in July in the parking lot of Big Lots on Wilmington Pike in Kettering.
Court documents obtained by the Daily News show Marx admitted to investigators that she sent nude photos to one of the students using Snapchat and Instagram.
Both counts are third-degree felonies and punishable by sentences of up to 9 to 36 months in prison. Marx was released on her own recognizance on the condition she lives with her father at his home as long as the case is pending.
The blonde is said to have been intimate with 16 and 17-year-old students in different vehicle parks away from school between June and September.
Cops swooped on Madeline Marx, 23, after her headteacher was tipped off about the alleged romps.
Marx was arrested on Wednesday, November 8 by police in Kettering. Kettering is a suburb of Dayton Ohio that has a population of about 55,000 people. “We have a full-time resource officer at the high school also, and they began their investigation”. Inskeep stressed that substitutes are thoroughly vetted and go through the same background checks as teachers.
Marx was arrested by 11:45 a.m. Wednesday and first booked into Kettering’s jail.
Its school superintendent Scott Inskeep said every substitute teacher is subject to the same vetting process as regular teachers.
State records indicated Marx has a four-year teaching license as a K-12 education intervention specialist.
In her application for a teaching job at a different school she wrote how she had worked with special needs pupils since high school.
According to her UD transcript included in her personnel file, Marx withdrew from a fall 2013 class on sexual ethics.
Madeline Marx, 23, was arrested at Kettering Fairmont High School on Wednesday.
Her resume, obtained by WHIO-TV, lists Huber Heights, Oakwood and Dayton Public as other OH schools where she has worked.
An Ohio substitute is in hot water and out of the classroom on allegations that she had relationships with multiple students.
Inskeep said there wasn’t anything in Marx’s history that raised a red flag for Kettering school officials.
‘When we become aware of them then we will remove those people and not have them around our students‘. “And that’s exactly what we’ve done here”.
